It is still possible to get a Gmail invite but it's
not necessary easy because Google does not appear to
be giving as many invites to current Gmail users as it
was at one time. But there's still hope for people who want to participate
in the testing and evaluation of the new Google electronic
mail service.
How to Get a Gmail Invite
It is not yet possible for the general public to just "sign up"
for a Gmail account because the new Google Web-based electronic
mail service is still in beta test. Gmail invites from Google are a
highly coveted commodity these days, and because of that,
Web sites and forums advertising
their availability are springing up everywhere. There is even
a brisk business going at eBay in the buying and selling Gmail invites!
